Hand Crafted Wines from our Lake County & Guenoc Valley Estate

Welcome to Langtry Farms

Langtry Farms is a working ranch, winery, and valley with a pulse. We exist at the intersection of land, legacy, and exploration. Here, wine is not a product of trend, but a reflection of place. Founded in 1888 and stewarded today by the Manson family, Langtry Farms is rooted in Guenoc Valley, a rare and intact landscape shaped by volcanic ground, mountain air, blue oaks, and time.

Featured Wines

Langtry single vineyard wines are featured exclusively in our tasting room and fine wine accounts. Each wine is crafted to embody the unique characteristics of its vineyard. A wide selection of these wines are highly acclaimed and recognized as the Editor’s Choice by the Wine Enthusiast Magazine and Best of Class by the San Francisco Chronicle wine competition.

Explore. Slow Down. Rediscover.

Langtry Farms exists to steward Guenoc Valley with integrity and appreciation, inviting people to explore, slow down, and rediscover what the outdoors gives back through wine and shared experience.

"I grew up around wild places. Guenoc Valley is one you carry with you long after you leave." - Aukai Manson

Due to its isolated topography, Lake County has resisted many of the encroachments of modern development. Mount St. Helena forms its southern boundary, with the Bear Mountains to the east, the Mayacamas to the west, and Hull Mountain and the San Hedron Ridge to the north. Officially established in 1861, the county was formed from portions of Napa and Mendocino.

Originally part of a Spanish land grant, Salvador Vallejo brought cattle here in 1839. The first wagon trains of settlers arrived in 1854, including early pioneers who introduced viticulture to the region. By 1900, Lake County wines were earning international recognition, establishing a reputation for producing some of the world’s finest wines. Langtry Farms remains both the oldest and largest winegrower in Lake County.

The Legacy of the Farm's Original Proprietor Lillie Langtry

For well over one hundred years, intrepid travelers have trekked over Howell Mountain to reach our Guenoc Valley winery. Langtry Estate & Vineyards property is vast, encompassing some thirty-five square miles of epic terrain, where untamed flora and fauna still abound. Our namesake, Lillie Langtry, flamboyant British theatre star, purchased the property sight unseen in 1888. On her first visit, she arrived in St. Helena aboard her lavish private railroad car, then embarked with a small fleet of stage coaches carrying her entourage and paramour, Freddie Gebhard. Raised as a tomboy, she was apparently quite a horsewoman. She also made wine, which she proclaimed the “greatest claret in the country.” The picturesque estate consists of 22,000 acres and straddles both Lake and Napa Counties. Vineyards are limited to 400 prime acres.

Delicious wines, friendly people, gorgeous property, and a very generous picnic basket... my favorite Lake County vineyard stop!

Amazing views and winery! We only stopped by almost at closing and after the last tasting hour because we were told there were amazing views. The staff/sommelier were amazing, and came to greet us despite it being closing hour. Instead of turning us away for being closed, they opened their space to give us a small wines tasting and describe the vineyard. We had amazing conversations along with great tasting wine! (Also a dog friendly space) I really appreciate the extra kindness and the staff going out of their way to make it a great visit experience! I would highly highly recommend!! We will definitely be back after the amazing experience.

PS The Sauvignon Blanc and Double Barrel Petite Syrah are amazing.
